Edumed is non-profit organization with main goals to promote training of medical students, students of dentistry, PhD students and young doctors. Each year we organize several workshops such as:
ECG workshop - mainly addressed for pregraduate students, whose want to understand basic of ECG, evaluation and description of ECG and last but not least recognise pathological findings on ECG.
Surgical workshop - designed especially for medical students in all years of study and especially to those who are interested in surgical disciplines. It is focused on basic sewing techniques of surgical wounds (surgical knots, skin and subcutaneous suture by various techniques) and hollow organs (vascular and intestinal anastomosis), which will be carried out on presentation models.
USG workshop - diagnostic sonography (ultrasonography - US) is an ultrasound-based diagnostic imaging technique used for visualizing subcutaneous body structures including tendons, muscles, joints, vessels and internal organs for possible pathology or lesions. Obstetric sonography is commonly used during pregnancy and is widely recognized by the public.
Lung function testing (LFT) - one of the oldest methods in pneumology. LFT workshop is addressed for pregraduate students, whose want to understand principles of lung mechanics, ventilation and perfusion of the lung, evaluation and description of spirometry and last but not least recognise pathological findings of obstructive and restrictive ventilation disorders.
